Tara is an Associate in the dispute resolution team. Whilst advising on a wide range of litigation matters, Tara focuses in particular on insolvency, corporate and commercial dispute resolution and trust litigation. Tara is described in Legal 500 as “innovative and commercially minded” and an “excellent courtroom advocate”.
Over the last three years, Tara has also been part of the team receiving continuing instructions from the Court appointed joint liquidators of various Louis Group companies in one of the most complex insolvencies in the Isle of Man regarding the winding up of the Louis Group group of companies. Her work on this matter has included making an application to Court for the approval of a group-wide consolidation of assets and liabilities into a newly formed pool company and applications to Court for approval of various compromises with creditors including 8 Schemes of Arrangement entered into by certain Louis Group companies with their creditors/shareholders.
Before joining DQ, Tara studied Law at the University of Warwick. This was followed by completion of the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Chester in respect of which Tara gained a distinction and won the 2011 Regulatory Law Prize.
Tara was commissioned as an Isle of Man Advocate in December 2013.
