Kingsley has a wealth of multi-disciplinary experience and broad exposure within the Nigerian real estate market. He also has an immense knowledge and appreciation of local laws, key trends, customs and practices, combined with a global perspective and an understanding of client’s commercial objectives and requirements.
He advises real estate developers, investors, funders, occupiers, facility/project managers and government agencies across the entire real estate value chain. His experience cuts across real estate finance and investment; development of retail malls, office complexes and residential apartments as well as land reclamation by dredging. Kingsley has also been active in advising clients on real estate disposals and acquisitions; sale and leaseback; joint ventures, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and title documentation.
In the public sector space, Kingsley has advised a Federal Government Agency on at least 4 (four) bills relating to housing/mortgage reforms in Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory as well as a residential mortgage-backed securitization (RMBS).
In addition to real estate, Kingsley has significant experience in advising financial institutions, multi-lateral credit agencies, sub-nationals and private equity firms on syndicated lendings, project finance, structured finance, trade finance, debt offerings, equity raisings, mergers and private equity investments. His finance, capital markets and private equity experience extends across a variety of sectors including real estate, financial services, telecommunications, Oil & Gas and manufacturing.
