Nicolas advises life sciences, food and beverage and chemical businesses on regulatory requirements for highly technological and innovative products. One of his particular focuses is on regulations on the use of biological material for therapeutic applications and scientific research activities, including biobanking. Nicolas also assists clients with issues relating to REACH, CLP and related regulations on safety and environmental requirements applicable to chemical products.
In addition, he advises on regulatory law relevant to the conduct of business in the food and beverage field, from general food law, labelling requirements, such as health and nutrition claims, to highly regulated forms of food products including novel food and nutraceuticals.
General advice and litigation on Belgian public and administrative law, including town planning and environmental law, public procurement, public service and constitutional law also form part of his practice.
