Jeroen Sombezki is a partner in our corporate M&A and private equity practice group. He advises Dutch and foreign companies and investors on mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets transactions, private equity investments, strategic collaborations and joint ventures and corporate governance. Jeroen has extensive experience in regulated markets, in particular the telecom, media and technology sector. Jeroen co-founded and heads Van Doorne's technology transactions group.
Jeroen is regularly involved as a lecturer on post-academic courses within the field of Dutch corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. Jeroen is a lecturer at the 'law firm school' (the education programme for trainee lawyers of the 16 largest Dutch law firms) for corporate law, more specifically shareholder rights.
Jeroen holds a master’s degree from Leiden University Law Faculty (2004). During his studies, Jeroen was a visiting student at the universities of Bologna and Perugia in Italy (2002–2003). He was admitted to the Dutch Bar Association in 2007 and has subsequently completed a mini MBA at INSEAD Fontainebleau in 2008.
He is fluent in Dutch and English. Furthermore, he has a good understanding of German and Italian.
