François Gordon is a senior associate in the Freshfields’ antitrust competition and trade group, with over 10 years practising in Paris and Brussels. He advises French and international undertakings on all aspects of European and French competition law, including merger control, cartels, abuses of dominant position, competition litigation, follow-on damages claims and distribution law. His practice covers counselling, litigation and transactional matters across various industries.
François graduated from the ESSEC Business School and Panthéon Assas (Paris II) University. He also holds an LLM from King’s College London.
François recent merger control experience includes acting for EDF in its acquisition of the nuclear reactor business of Areva, New Areva NP, before the European Commission and other competition authorities worldwide.
