Nikos is a partner and head of the IP law practice at Prentoulis Gerakini Law Partnership. His practice spans across the whole spectrum of intellectual property and IT law, ranging from litigation and IP asset management to commercialisation and complex IT projects. His litigious practice focuses on trademarks, patents, designs and unfair competition matters, but extends to white collar crime and he has also gained recognition for assisting clients in managing brand and marketing-related projects on a trans-national scale. He is a respected litigator, characterised as ‘the perfect counsel for global brand owners unsure of the best way to proceed in this challenging jurisdiction’ and a ‘star in the contentious sphere’. Nikos has served as legal counsel to the Secretary General of Commerce of the Hellenic Ministry of Development on trademark and public procurement matters and as legal counsel to the Hellenic Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, thus deepening his expertise on regulatory and public law. He was admitted to the bar in 2000 and regularly lectures and publishes on intellectual property law issues.
