Mr. Juan Diego Ugaz is a Senior Associate of the firm, specializing in criminal law.
Prior to joining the firm, he was an Associate at Benites, Forno & Ugaz Abogados (2009-2013), and has completed an internship at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (Washington DC, USA). He has extensive experience in litigation and criminal consulting.
Mr. Ugaz is a graduate from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and has a Master in Criminal Law by the Universidad de Sevilla (Spain), where he also made doctoral studies and he obtained a Victimology Expert Title. Moreover, he participated of a studies exchange in the School Law of Montgomery College (Maryland, USA).
Mr. Ugaz is a teacher at the Law School of the Universidad de Lima. Nowadays he is teaching Criminal Law. He has also been a professor of Economic Criminal Law at the same University and Professor of Criminal Law II and Law & Company at the Universidad Científica del Sur.
He has published several articles of Criminal Law in specialized journals and collective books, and he is author and co-author of Criminal Law Books.
