Anne Sharp is counsel in the restructuring and insolvency group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s London office. Anne joined Freshfields in 1996 having qualified in Australia in 1988 (Queensland in 1988, Victoria in 1991 and Tasmania in 1994).
Anne has extensive insolvency experience, advising officeholders on a number of large-scale insolvencies. More recently Anne has been involved in non-contentious insolvency work advising liquidators, receivers, administrators and creditors on UK and cross-border insolvency issues.
She has acted in a number of complex cross-border insolvencies and restructurings, in particular in the hotel and leisure sector. She is also currently acting for the administrators of a number of financial institutions and has recently acted in relation to the administration of two publicly listed companies including acting for the purchaser of certain assets from the administrator as part of a prepack sale.
Anne also has considerable experience in advising in relation to complex solvent restructurings, including MVLs and section 110 schemes.
