Dave B. Koo is a senior foreign attorney in the firm’s Litigation, Antitrust & Competition, and Intellectual Property practice groups.
Since joining the firm in 2007, he has represented major multinational companies, particularly in the IT industry, in a wide range of complex dispute and counseling matters.
Mr. Koo’s experience includes representing major multinational companies in the telecommunications, enterprise database software, and digital audio compression industries in relation to Korea Fair Trade Commission investigations and court appeals for abuse of market dominance and unfair trade practices; representing numerous multinational companies in patent and related anti-trust litigation matters involving technologies in the field of LED, telecommunications, automotive and chemicals (many involving multi-jurisdictional disputes); and advising telecommunications and Internet companies on privacy, licensing, and government affairs related matters. He also has advised automobile importers for government investigation and regulatory/environmental/criminal matters in Korea.
Dave is a member of the California Bar Association, and is a registered attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at major U.S. firms for a number of years mostly focusing on IP litigation and counseling.
