Jorge Mondragon has been a partner at Gonzalez Calvillo since 1998, heading the firm's franchising/distribution practice group. During his over 25 years of experience, he has developed a corporate/commercial practice focus in business, transactional, licensing, and data protection matters, advising Mexican and foreign clients in a wide range of transactions, from their start-ups in Mexico all throughout all their main operations and management activities.
He is active in national and international legal associations, including the International Franchise Association, the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising and the National Corporate Counsel Association (ANADE), in which he has acted as member of executive committees and participated as expert speaker in corporate and business law in seminars, symposiums and conferences thereof.
Mr Mondragon’s legal practice has been recognised by international legal publications such as Who’s Who Legal, being considered as a Thought Leader, and has participated in the Getting the Deal Through: Franchise legal guide, for over 10 years.
Mr Mondragon obtained his law degree with honours from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (1993) and a postgraduate degree in corporate law from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (1996).
