Kyle Lee is a partner in the Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. His main areas of practice encompass mergers and acquisitions (with a focus on public M&A transactions and privatisations), general corporate and commercial transactions, as well as FinTech, venture capital and start-up matters.
In the area of public M&A, Kyle has acted for SMRT Corporation Ltd in the S$1.2 billion offer by Belford Investments Pte. Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings) via a scheme of arrangement; CB Medical Holdings Limited in its amalgamation with Biosensors International Group, Ltd, the first take-private of a company listed on the SGX-ST through an amalgamation; and TCC Assets Limited and Thai Beverage Public Company Limited in relation to TCC Assets Limited's successful S$13.8 billion offer for Fraser and Neave, Limited, one of the largest M&A transactions in Singapore's corporate history.
Kyle's experience in private equity transactions include acting for KKR & Co LP (KKR) as Singapore counsel in matters relating to the acquisition by KKR and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board of a 10.3 per cent stake in Bharti Infratel Limited; the sale by the Farallon Group of its units in Indiabulls Properties Investment Trust into an offer by Brenformexa; and Northstar Group in its acquisition of Hersing Corporation Pte Ltd.'s real estate agency business.
Kyle was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2010. He was previously seconded to a leading American law firm in New York specialising in private equity between October 2013 and October 2014.
