Juan José Espino Sagel is a partner at the Panamanian law office of Pardini and Asociados, and has been practicing aviation law for the past 25 years. Mr Espino-Sagel was educated in Panama, the US and the UK, and leads the law office’s aviation practice group. He is experienced in aviation accident litigation, aviation insurance, negotiation, regulatory issues and general commercial matters.
Mr Espino Sagel and his team has represented airlines and their underwriters in most air accident cases concerning Panamanian and international carriers occurring in Panamanian territory or with international ramifications.
The team consistently represents clients on contentious aviation matters, mostly on the defence side. The team also participated in important financial transactions such as the participation of Continental Airlines in COPA, and currently represents FedEx and Continental and advises charter carriers on their Panamanian operations.
