Trygve Olavson Laake is a specialist in public procurement law. He has a law degree (cand jur) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo. He also studied EU law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles from which he has a Licence spécial en droit européen. As a senior legal adviser in Difi his main responsibilities include public procurement Law, EU/EEA law, contract, integrity, anti-corruption, and the handling of disputes and complaints, assisting also internal procurement and the Central Procurement Body. Laake is a long-time delegate to the Working Party of Leading Practitioners on Public Procurement in OECD. Previous experience includes being legal officer at EFTA Surveillance Authority (ESA) in Brussels, legal adviser at Statsbygg (Directorate of Public Construction and Property), Deputy judge at Nedre Romerike District Court, and many years lawyer and partner in corporate law firms, practicing mainly EU/EEA Law, competition law and public procurement law. Laake was also legal adviser to the PEPPOL-project.
