Juan Eduardo Figueroa V. has more than 30 years of experience as an adviser to diverse construction companies and property developers and is a specialist in Urban and Construction Law. He is a former judge of the Supreme Court of Chile; vice president of the Chilean Construction Society Law; fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is an arbitrator for the Public Concessions Works and of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce and for the International Centre for Dispute Resolution within the International Division of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He was a counsel for the Chilean Bar Association and the Inter-American Bar Association. He is a counsel for ACOP National Chamber of Real Estate Services and member of the Chilean Chamber of Construction. Juan Eduardo received his law degree from the University of Chile. He studied for an LLM in international law, investment, trade and international arbitration at the University of Heidelberg/University of Chile. He has a master’s degree in economics and administration for attorneys from Gabriela Mistral University, Chile and a diploma in public works concessions from the Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile. He is a professor in postgraduate studies at the school of law at University of Los Andes, Chile; and professor of postgraduate studies at Heidelberg Centre for Latin America.
