Ben is a solicitor of the senior courts of England and Wales, specialising in international arbitration and litigation.
Ben has 15 years’ disputes experience, 8 of which were spent in London specialising in UK High Court litigation, before he transferred to Herbert Smith’s Middle East disputes practice in October 2010.
Most of Ben’s work has a multi-jurisdictional element. He has acted and advised on a number of international disputes, particularly in the construction, energy, manufacturing and financial services sectors.
Ben’s arbitration practice includes advising under the institutional rules of the ICC, LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, DIAC, ADDCAC, and GCC. Ben has experience of practising in a number of Middle East jurisdictions including the UAE courts (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), DIFC courts (a Dubai economic freezone), SAMA Committee and Board of Grievances (Saudi Arabia) and the BCDR (Bahrain).
