Mr Yoon Bae Kim has been the managing partner of Kims and Lees and is recognized as one of Korea’s leading patent attorneys.
During his role as a managing partner at the firm, he was named in different kinds of awards including ‘Ever Green Culture Award, by Seoul National University’, ‘AIPPI Award of Merit (Vienna, 1997 at AIPPI Centennial EXCO)’, ‘Licensing Executive Society (LES) International Award of Achievement (Boston, 2004)’, ‘APAA Enduring Award (Manila, 2011)’, and ‘AIPPI Award of Member of Honor (Helsinki 2013)’.
He served as the President of AIPPI International (2010-2012), Vice President of LES International (2000–2001), and Chairman of Anti-counterfeiting Committee, Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA). He also is an Arbitrator of Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.
While carrying out his position as the Patent Counsel of Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) he was one of the founders of Anti-Counterfeiting Council of Republic of Korea (ACCK) and gave numerous lectures on anti counterfeiting, unfair competition, and trade secret issues. For many years he continuously advised some top brand owners including Louis Vuitton’s anti-counterfeiting mission not only in Korea but also in the Asia-Pacific region for preventing and eliminating counterfeiting, and offered critical strategies for protecting brands.
