Peter Curran is Head of Procurement and has 20 years’ experience of advising public/private sector bodies in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland on all aspects of Public and Utilities Procurement Law. Peter has advised on the procurement of numerous projects and contracts across various sectors, including technology, communications, waste, social housing, construction, education and health. He counts among his clients Government Departments and a wide range of public bodies, as well as bidders tendering for contracts and projects in Ireland/Northern Ireland. He has advised on some of the most significant procurement exercises on the island of Ireland in recent years. He also advises on procurement litigation and has been involved in a number of leading cases in both jurisdictions. Peter is recognized for his work by all leading independent legal directories, including Chambers, Legal 500 and Who’s Who (Legal) and was recently ranked by the latter publication as being among the top five ‘Thought Leaders’ for Government Contracts in EMEA. Peter regularly speaks at procurement law conferences across Ireland, the UK and further afield, and he is an active member of Procurement Lawyers Association. He regularly publishes in this area and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Public Procurement Law Review.
