Hiroyasu Ueda is a partner at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune who has been acting as counsel to numerous debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees and equity holders in cases involving a wide spectrum of industries, including banking, retail, real estate, construction and cross-border enterprises. He has been appointed as a trustee or deputy trustee by the Japanese court in many famous reorganisation cases in Japan. Recently, he served as the representing liquidator in the Lehman Brothers Japan case, which was one of the largest bankruptcy cases in Japan. He represented the lease creditor, Intrepid Aviation, in the civil rehabilitation proceedings of Skymark Airlines. He also has extensive experience in advising on crisis management matters.
