László has deep insight into both local and international competition law
László is a special counsel in our competition and EU practice in Budapest.
He has over 20 years of experience, specialising in Hungarian and EU competition law as well as related dispute resolution matters.
László advises on the competition aspects of M&A transactions, guiding clients through the merger process from pre-notification to obtaining clearance. He also represents clients in cartel investigations both before the Hungarian competition authority and courts, as well as in competition litigation before courts and arbitral tribunals. He regularly advises clients on vertical and horizontal agreements, pricing issues and competition compliance.
Before joining us, László worked for major international law firms in Brussels and Budapest. His other past experience includes working at the Competition Council, the decision-making body of the Hungarian Competition Office (GVH), where he had the opportunity to shape some of the authority's landmark decisions and major policy papers.
László holds a JD from the University of Szeged, Hungary as of 1999, and an LLM from Harvard Law School in 2004. He is admitted to the Budapest Bar.
In addition to his native Hungarian, László speaks fluent English.
