Stuart has a particular focus on financial services and investment disputes and has spent time on secondment to a leading investment bank. He has experience of banking disputes involving derivatives and structured products, investment banking, asset management and private wealth management issues. He often advises on joint venture disputes.
Stuart is a specialist in corporate fraud, bribery and corruption and asset recovery, both in relation to legal proceedings (often in multiple jurisdictions) and the conduct of investigations. He is a member of the Commercial Fraud Lawyers Association.
Stuart regularly advises on mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). He is a qualified solicitor advocate with rights of audience in all courts in England & Wales and in the courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). He also advises on UAE and DIFC employment law.
Stuart regularly writes and speaks at industry conferences about commercial disputes subjects including financial services fraud and bribery.
