İsmail Esin is the managing partner of Esin Attorney Partnership, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International, a Swiss Verein. His practice areas include arbitration and M&A. He is on the advisory board of the Istanbul Arbitration Centre, a member of the ICC Turkish National Committee, the London Court of International Arbitration, the DIS (the German Arbitration Institute) and AHK (the German-Turkish Trade and Industry Chamber).
Dr. Esin graduated from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Law in 1990 and was admitted to the Istanbul bar in 1998. He completed his LL.M. at Tubingen Law School in 1991 and his PhD in 1997. He has lectured on real estate law, law of obligations, and mergers and acquisitions law at Marmara, Galatasaray and Bilgi Universities and currently lectures at Yeditepe University on mergers and acquisitions. His publications relating to M&A and Arbitration include “Some Questions about M&A Disputes,” Global Wisdom on Business Transactions, International Law and Dispute Resolution; “Arbitration in Turkey” published by Kluwer Law International; The Baker & McKenzie International Arbitration Yearbook; and Arbitration of M&A Transactions: A Practical Global Guide, Globe Business Publishing. He is fluent in German and English.
