Vishnu’s practice covers diverse areas of Corporate Commercial and Regulatory & Policy aspects in the infrastructure space. He focuses on advising clients across different verticals viz, Energy (Renewables & Power), Transport (Surface Transport including Railways & Metro systems), and Urban Infrastructure. In these verticals, he advises clients on multiple issues such as investment transactions, infrastructure contracting, regulatory and restructuring issues, and PPPs.
Vishnu has been practicing infrastructure law for more than 18 years and has extensive experience in advising Investors, Developers, Lenders, and Governmental Agencies on Equity, Debt, Procurement, Divestment, Project development and related aspects in the Infrastructure space including energy efficiency.
He regularly advises Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, GoI and Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, GoI on several policy, project development and regulatory issues in the infrastructure space. Recently, he advised Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, GoI on the proposed Renewable Energy Bill, 2016.
He advises investors and developers on infrastructure contracting and on investment related aspects.
He has litigation experience and regularly advises clients in formulating regulatory litigation strategies and on claim assessment related aspects.
Vishnu served as a visiting faculty on Telecommunication laws at the Indian Law Institute and is a frequent speaker at conferences and training workshops on issues of infrastructure laws, RE issues and related aspects.
