Jane Wang is a partner at Formosa Transnational, Attorneys at Law. Her practices include data protection, patent litigation, intellectual property, licensing, competition/antitrust, legal compliance, transactions, environmental law and emerging technologies such as Fintech.
Ms Wang is a committee member of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic and Energy Affairs. She is a committee member of the Taiwan Bar Association’s International Affairs. Ms Wang counsels a broad range of technology-related companies, both international and domestic. She represents clients in protecting and enforcing their intangible assets, such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. She defends clients in complicated disputes to ensure that clients retain their freedom to operate, including obtaining an urgent disposition from the IP Court within 24 hours for a client in a preliminary injunction case.
Ms Wang is the counsel of Fintech patent owners, internet/online service providers, APP/social platform, security service providers, and software and mobile device companies for data protection and cyber security issues. Ms Wang is a co-author of New Era of Intellectual Property Litigation, the first book published specifically addressing the new IP Court, IP Litigation issues, and the IP Adjudication Law in Taiwan. Ms Wang actively lectures on IP topics. Her articles were published by the IAM group, Magazine of the Accounting Research and Development Foundation, and other organisations.
Ms Wang is a founder of the Taiwan Competition Law Institute, and a founder of the Berkeley Law Taiwan Alumni. She is member of INTA and APAA.
