António Andrade has a law degree from University of Lisbon, Faculty of Law. He is a specialist lawyer in Intellectual Property (title granted by The Portuguese Bar Association in 2006). Since 2007 he is a patent, trademark and design attorney. He joined Vieira de Almeida & Associados in 2011 and is currently a partner in the Intellectual Property practice group. In such capacity he has been involved in Intellectual Property litigation, such as patents (namely pharmaceutical's litigation), trademarks and designs and advising companies in all intellectual property matters. He is a regular speaker and delegate on several conferences, seminars and workshops regarding intellectual property matters. António is also an author of several legal opinions published in IP publications as well as opinion articles in the press. He is admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association, member of several IP international organisations, such as AIPPI (Portuguese Group), ECTA, FICPI, INTA, MARQUES and UNION, member of ECTA Copyright Committee and member of UNION Litigation Commission. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
