ONG Sin Wei is a Partner in the Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.
Sin Wei has vast experience working on corporate and corporate finance matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate/investment funds restructuring and fund formation. Further, he has particular experience in matters involving venture capital/start-ups, asset management, investment funds and insurance sectors.
Major deals that Sin Wei has recently worked on include advising Centrality in its token generation event that raised US$100 million in CENNZ tokens in 6 minutes; Pacific International Lines and PSA International in the formation of a Singapore consortium vehicle DC Multimodal Logistics Pte Ltd, for the purpose of a joint project between Singapore and China known as "Chongqing Connectivity Initiative"; Expedia Inc. in its US$350 million minority investment in Traveloka Holding Limited, a leading South East Asian online travel company.
Sin Wei is recommended in The Legal 500: Asia Pacific – The Client's Guide to the Asia Pacific Legal Profession 2018 for the area of Corporate and M&A in Singapore, as well as a notable practitioner in Corporate and M&A by IFLR1000 - The Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms, 2018. Sin Wei graduated from the University of Birmingham, UK and obtained a Master of Laws from The University of Pennsylvania School of Law, USA. He is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales and to the Singapore Bar.
