Van Doorne was established in 1930 and went on to become one of the leading Dutch law firms, with offices in Amsterdam and London. Our clients are leading players in their respective markets and we also act as State Advocate for the Dutch Ministry of Finance. We aim to establish lasting relationships with our clients and we are proud to have been working with a large number of them for many years. Van Doorne is a member of the World Services Group of top advisers.
The Van Doorne EU and Competition Group is the exclusive Dutch representative of the LIDC (Ligue international du droit de la concurrence, the international league of competition law). The team is known for finding innovative and pragmatic solutions in proceedings before competition authorities and courts. Its broad experience covers all aspects of competition law, including cartels, abuse of dominance, merger control, distribution systems, state aid and public procurement. We are at the forefront of the developing legal field of cartel damages litigation, being involved in actions based on Commission decisions relating to pre-stressing steel, paraffin wax, sodium chlorate and animal feed phosphates.
