Federal claims court stays multi-airline “double charging” suit pending district court ruling

The US Court of Federal Claims has agreed to stay a lawsuit brought by a host of international airlines against the government’s Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) pending the outcome of a similar case currently before the Washington, DC, district court.

Australia’s competition commission has approved national airline Qantas’ continued coordination with three Asian members of its subsidiary low-cost group Jetstar and released provisional plans to approve the flag carrier’s ongoing collaboration with Emirates.

UK court awards Singaporean and Irish lessors US$88m from Kingfisher Airlines

The High Court in London has awarded a Singapore aircraft leasing company and its Irish affiliate summary judgment in respect of four contracts taken out by collapsed Indian airline Kingfisher and guaranteed by its parent company United Breweries between 2004 and 2011.
